Artificial Intelligence: Picking Better Job Candidate Than You

Public policy as well as employment opportunities will definitely be affected in the future. Technology is constantly advancing new ways of doing just about anything and everything. Therefore, it is very possible that one day robots, machine learning as well as artificial intelligence will have a dramatic effect on employment opportunities. However, it is unlikely that machines will completely replace a human worker.

Artificial intelligence could essentially replace human intelligence one day. Artificial intelligence could pick better job candidates than me. Data scientist Terry Bandy shares some of the many ways in which artificial intelligence will be able to pick better job candidates.

Technological advancements and improvements may one day be able to both improve the quality, speed as well as cost of specialized services. Quality and speed advancements will automatically displace a large number of skilled and qualified workers.

Secondly, within virtually any industry that relies upon computer technology will conclude that computers can virtually replace a human being in many respects. Computers can complete tasks more quickly than a human being would be able to. Computer technology is also more efficient than a trained person.

New technologies may actually cause jobs to open for underqualified or displaced workers. The less experienced and uneducated may end up with jobs that were considered to be above their abilities. This would push the better educated and more skilled workers right out of the job market.

Artificial intelligence could cause a significant expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit. An individual could be guaranteed a certain income and benefits even if they were technically unemployed. A person would be paid a salary with benefits and would never have to leave their comfortable home.

Artificial intelligence techniques will eliminate manual personality matching. Manual personality matching is something that staffing and employment agencies rely heavily upon. Artificial intelligence will without a doubt hurt the recruiting industry in a huge way. In the long run these changes would prove to be economically beneficial to individuals and corporations.

Employing the use of artificial intelligence can also utilize search optimization and data analysis and assist in mapping or seeking out talent. It would also cut costs of a clothing wardrobe for the office.

Certain jobs require a certain personality type in order to be successful. However, the use of artificial intelligence would literally change many things including searching for a suitable personality type would also be eliminated. Type A or Type B personality types would no longer matter within the general work force.

Data point have been used for decades when seeking out new and qualified job candidates. An organized data point system that continually improves will eventually map out a specific talent pool for a particular type of job which affords many benefits to employers such as developing their immediate needs well in advance. It would enable employers more time to create an effective hiring model.

An improved data point process will end up eliminating a large number of candidates and jobs will eventually be lost and cost cutting techniques will continue. The improvement of computer technology will assist in eliminating qualified workers not employing them.

Evaluations without emotional interference would be the common theme if artificial intelligence took over the workforce for a variety or reasons. Personal employee evaluation would no longer be necessary. Artificial intelligence/robots are not entitled nor would they receive an evaluation. As such, raises and promotions would no longer be necessary. Time, money and emotional effort would be saved with artificial intelligence dominating the workforce.

Artificial intelligence without a doubt may produce better and more effective in choosing a better job candidate. However, if one day we did rely too heavily on replacing skilled workers with artificial intelligence companies would begin to lose diversity. Diversity is something that plays a critical role in the development and success of any organization. Diversity is a good thing to have within any workplace.

The workforce needs mix of different persons and intelligence levels. Personality mix is actually something that is healthy within the workplace. The workforce needs a mix of different people, different personalities, intelligence levels, beliefs etc. Eliminating a real person from the workplace would probably have negative consequences in the long run.

Yes artificial intelligence would certainly replace a human being and the required work would get done. However consequences could be severe. The job market and economic state of the country may suffer. No robot or sophisticated computer system can effectively replace a human being.

The NEC Corporation has developed an AI system to assist them in choosing the proper job applicants. However, once the applicants are screened and selected the company believes some aspects of the hiring process do require a personal touch. NEC Corporation does emphasize diversity within a corporation, promotions and raises for qualified candidates and climbing the corporate ladder to success.

Finally, artificial intelligence, programmed robots could definitely do an effective job and save corporations a great deal of money. There are positive aspects to utilizing artificial intelligence. Machines will always be on time and never run into things such as traffic jams Machinery does not require health care coverage and vacation time. While machinery does requite maintenance, maintaining machinery is cost effective in the long run.

When you really think about it replacing human beings in Corporate America with machines is something that is not very appealing for obvious reasons. More than likely this will not occur any time soon. There are a great many things artificial intelligence could do more effectively than a person can do. However, what would the world really be like if we replaced human workers with computers, robots and other types of machines.
